Cinnamon Roll French Toast Bake

December 25, 2019 / rcrossranch

I wanted to make something that would make the house smell amazing on Christmas morning and I came across this recipe. It took a while to find it, the original recipe was not attached to the video that was showing in Flipboard, but I eventually found it. Prep was fun, Kate and I made the … Continue reading Cinnamon Roll French Toast Bake

Daddy Biscuits

November 28, 2019November 28, 2019 / rcrossranch

When the kids were little, I would make Pioneer mix drop biscuits for breakfast, but I'd mix in chopped up lil' smokies. And cheese. And whatever else sounded good. We usually had no leftovers. This is a recipe I found and modified so I didn't have to have boxes of Pioneer mix around. Why are … Continue reading Daddy Biscuits

Fluffy and Delicious Pancakes

April 7, 2019November 27, 2019 / rcrossranch

These things are monsters. They are giant but airy. These are some of the best pancakes I've made. You also can't eat more than about 2 of them, they are really filling. Kind of like Kerby Lane pancakes, but even fluffier. One recipe seems to be enough for about 4 people, so double it. Even … Continue reading Fluffy and Delicious Pancakes

Hope everybody is having a great Memorial Day!
Day 1 progress: I was able to stand and move forward, but was not able to stay upwind or foil. Keeping at it.
Today is ‘learn to wing foil’ day for me. My goal is to actually get up on foil consistently in a week. Good wind, good harbour. It won’t be pretty, but it will be fun!
Last night in Carriacou for a while, looking forward to getting back to Bequia tomorrow!
Epic anchorage in Carriacou today! It got me thinking, I might make a short video on how you actually get into an anchorage like this and get confident you’re going to stay put while rotating 360 degrees. Of course it starts with a considerate boat neighbor who left room for us :)
Sailing down in the southern Caribbean is really neat because you can see where you are going even though it’s 20 or 30 miles away.
